Meet The Founder
Jessica Lea Nolette is an entrepreneur, runner, and blogger whose mission is to fuse mindfulness into tech tools. She is the CEO of My Mindful Motivation LLC, owner of Flask Lounge, and co-founder of Mindbosa—an app that helps people set goals, save money, and do more of what they love.
Jessica’s love for mind and body training was born as a 10-year-old when she competed nationally as a black belt in Taekwondo. After studying media, design, and communications at the University of Southern Maine, she founded Flask Lounge, a neighborhood bar and entertainment venue nestled in Portland’s West End.
Inspired by the remarkable spirit of her handicapped pug Bella, Jessica ran her first marathon in Chicago as a charity runner for Team Paws. She’s been running ever since. When she isn’t working, Jessica can be found spending time with her family, exploring nature, or settling into her yin yoga and meditation practices.
Meet the developer
A serial business founder and programmer, Ben’s passion for technology began at age 12 when he began building computers and setting up networks for a local ISP. After transitioning his focus to functional and user interface design, Ben started his first web agency at age 19 and subsequently went on to build several other successful and profitable businesses and apps from the ground up.
Today, Ben is co-founder of nKoso, a nonprofit that provides academic scholarships for 150 students in rural Ghana, and Hopsie, a fundraising platform that facilitates millions of dollars in donations to nonprofits around the world.
When Ben isn’t behind a computer screen thinking up ways to revolutionize the nonprofit sector, you’ll find him casting his fly fishing line into various lakes, rivers, and oceans around New England, or in his kitchen experimenting with different cuisines.
The mindbosa story
The Mindbosa story begins at Flask Lounge, a neighborhood bar in the West End of Portland, Maine, where co-founders Jessica and Ben first met.
Jessica, the owner of Flask, and Ben, the co-founder of Hopsie Inc., quickly discovered they had much in common. Both were raised in rural settings, had attended The University of Miami for short stints, and spent winters at New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain. They started their respective journeys as entrepreneurs at a young age with the support of loving families who nurtured their big ideas and cheered them on.
It all began with "Hey Ben, I have an app idea." (Insert Ben’s eye roll here.) Of course, all of Ben’s friends pitch him app ideas, because Ben is a technology guru who develops ideas into reality. After months of conversation and research, Ben and Jessica made the commitment to build Mindbosa.
